Assembly 02 — Yellow/Purple

The second form in the Assembly series. The series is built the same way: spheres are pressed, hollowed, then scored, slipped and joined row by row into a grid that stands on its own. The face arrives last, and once the features go on it is impossible to see anything else.
Yellow glaze over the grid and the foot; the glasses, brows, nose, ears and lips are underglaze under a clear glaze. A crack was repaired with cold work.
1 of 1. Assembly pieces are numbered by form, and more than one piece can carry a number — but a glaze combination is used only once per number. This exact pairing of Assembly 02 and this surface will not be made again. A commissioned Assembly 02 will be its own combination.
