Bodies of Work
2026 — Stoneware
Assembly
Modular faces built a sphere at a time, then glazed two ways — a crystal glaze that blooms and runs, and white underglaze flicked over cobalt.
2025 — Stoneware
Desert Totem
Stacked, carved and glazed to read like something uncovered rather than made. Installed in the Mojave.

The Studio
About Kazan Studio
Kazan Studio is the ceramic practice of Kevork Kazanjian, working in Los Angeles. Modular components assembled into faces, totems, and vessels that hold genuine presence in a room.
“Kazan” is drawn from Kazanjian — and from the kazan, the great cauldron of Armenian tradition.
